My path
From a search for meaning to astrology as a certainty
For more than ten years, I worked in marketing and business strategy as a product manager. Yet behind that structured career, life ordeals, health challenges and recurring relationship patterns pushed me toward a deep search for meaning.
I travelled and explored meditation, yoga, hypnosis and energy work. Above all, I wanted to understand the “why” behind certain patterns that kept repeating in my life.
That is how I turned to astrology. A first reading of my birth chart, too general and without any real thread, left me with more questions than answers. That was the trigger: I wanted to grasp for myself the full depth a sky map can hold.
I studied my own chart down to the smallest detail, until I felt the need to structure my knowledge and train with the astrologer Jean-Yves Espié. That personal search became a passion, then a professional practice I have followed for more than eight years.
Understanding the thread that runs through our story lets us put words to our experiences and move forward with more awareness.

A demanding path of learning in service of my own method

An essential step. But I have never stopped learning.
Over the years, I have kept researching with restless curiosity: books, talks, broadcasts, chart studies and the work of astrologers with complementary approaches. I deepened traditional, humanistic, karmic and relational astrology, to understand their foundations and how they complete one another.
This method has drawn on complementary traditions: the traditional and humanistic astrology of André Barbault, Stephen Arroyo and Luc Bigé; the karmic and relational astrology of Laurence Larzul, Pierre Lassalle, Sylvie Chermet-Carroy, Martin Schulman, Roland Legrand and Patrick Giani; Jean Billon's work on asteroids and Richard Lachance's on the solar return. I added some foundations of psychology, notably The Ego and the Id by Sigmund Freud, which Jean-Yves Espié draws on in his training to shed light on the levels of consciousness.
The further I went, the clearer it became: I did not want to read a chart as a series of independent data points. Little by little, I built my own method of analysis, refined over the years and the charts I studied.

Over the years
How my practice has grown
What began as heartfelt readings for those close to me became a professional practice, nourished by the encounters, the consultations and the feedback of the people I support.
- 2019
Une Reconnexion à l'Âme
I created my first project and began my consultations of support and self-exploration, mainly as written analyses.
- 2020
La Maison Holistique
The project evolved and became La Maison Holistique. I developed my birth-chart consultations over video call.
- 2023
Astrology for children
I developed a chart-analysis method suited to children and created the Petit Livret Astrologique, a personalised guide to better understand their personality, their needs and how they work.
- 2025
Relationships at the heart of my work
I created my written love-compatibility analyses (birth charts, synastry and composite chart), then the Parent/Child analysis, which extends my work around childhood and family relationships.
- 2026
A new chapter
I launched my site under my own name, Dorothée Casanova, and wrote my first book, La Lune au cœur de nos émotions, coming soon, devoted to emotional mechanisms and to what the Moon reveals of our inner world.

My vision
Understanding rather than predicting
I do not see astrology as a tool meant to announce what is going to happen to you.
A birth chart serves first to put words to what we live through: our reactions, our needs, our relationships, our recurring patterns and the larger dynamics of our path.
Astrology can shed light on possibilities or on certain periods of life, but above all it invites us to remain the authors of our own growth. Giving precise dates, even where some techniques allow it, runs counter to that approach. My work is deeply humanistic: understanding your story to move toward a life that fits you more truly.
That is why I devote several hours to each analysis. No automatic interpretations: I look for the links, the resonances and the coherence particular to each chart.
What I seek to bring to light

- the origin of certain blocks and what is now asking to evolve

This approach is at the core of my birth-chart consultations as well as my work in relational astrology: synastry, composite chart and parent-child analysis. Going beyond a simple description, to bring out keys for growth and move forward more consciously.
